Looking to Expand Your Volunteer Base?

by Rachael DeCruz

Many organizations are now utilizing highly skilled professionals as volunteers. There are numerous benefits to using pro bono volunteers within your organization, however it ‘s often a challenge to be able to use their skills and expertise in a way that furthers your mission. Join MANP on Wednesday, July 7th for the webinar “Engaging Pro Bono Volunteers to Build Your Organizational Capacity.” Webinars are a convenient and easy way to get training in the summer – they’re a shorter time-frame and you can attend them right from your desk!

The full course description is below, and registration information can be found here.

Engaging Pro Bono Volunteers to Build Your Organizational Capacity

Pro bono, highly skilled, and Boomer volunteers all bring experience, expertise, and technical skills to your organization if you can find a way to attract and keep them. Many professionals are willing to contribute their expertise, but most nonprofit organizations do not have the experience to use them effectively. This webinar will engage participants in a conversation and exploration of ways to engage these volunteers to build the infrastructure of your organization.

This SkillBuilder will include:

  • Lessons learned from others’ experiences
  • Scoping your organization for possible projects
  • Negotiating and developing workplans with pro bono volunteers
