New Targeted Programs this Fall

Foundations, corporations and government agencies call on MANP to develop and implement capacity building initiatives. These programs bring the most up-to-date knowledge and trends to nonprofit leaders. They center on the belief that interaction between peers is a highly effective approach to learning key leadership and management skills, encouraging innovation and collaboration — and using these networks to develop a ‘solutions-based’ approach to social issues.

This fall, two new programs are in the works:

For Young Leaders in Maine’s Local Food Movement

The Maine Community Foundation has hired MANP to help assess the leadership, organization and network development needs of young and emerging leaders that are driving Maine’s exciting and important sustainable food systems movement. Input gathered from these leaders will be integrated into a two-year leadership program to be launched in 2010.

MANP Facilitated Systems Change Discussion

The Maine Office of Adults with Cognitive & Physical Disabilities Services has hired MANP to engage a representative group of stakeholders in a series of facilitated dialogues to help inform and guide the department’s decision-making at a time of both significant social need and funding restraint.
